Please join us for a vigil in observance of Transgender Day of Remembrance. Throughout the world, people gather every year to pay respect to those needlessly killed by hate crimes against the transgender community, and to call attention to the threat of violence faced by gender-variant people.

The Charlotte vigil will be preceded by speakers: Roberta Dunn, Opening Prayer (Charlotte Gender Alliance, MeckPAC, Human Rights Campaign); Denise Palm-Beck (Lesbian & Gay Community Center); Pamela Jones (Charlotte Gender Alliance); Elke Kennedy (Sean’s Last Wish); Dr. Lisa Griffin; Connie Vetter; Tammie (Charlotte Gender Alliance); Micah Parris  (Charlotte Gender Alliance); Patsy Kinsey (Charlotte City Council)

These events are being hosted by:

Janice Covington, HRC, Alternative Resources of the Triad, Warehouse 29, Charlotte Gender Alliance
